We loaded up the PNG semi and headed to Fox Raceway to support some of the PNG Moto athletes at the 2nd round of the Pro Motocross series. We want to take this time to educate everyone to what PNG does for our athletes and our ambassadors at events like this. We supply our athletes the tools they need to get the most out of their race day by having a clean organized race rig, food, and tools. Also available to them are a Concept 2 rower and warm up bike for the athletes to warm up on prior to their races. Normally these athletes would be in a van out in the back of the paddock but having the semi and assets available to our athletes gives them the confidence and tools to succeed on race day.

Orange Brigade’s Josh Varize made his debut in the 125 All Star series by shocking his hometown crowd with an amazing battle with multi time SX and Motocross champion Ryan Villopoto. Josh had a strong start, with Villopoto out in front he wasted no time to get to the back wheel of Ryan Villopoto where he would make a quick pass for the lead. The two went back and forth a few times with their 125’s signing while the crowd went nuts’ but it was PNG Powered Josh Varize who took the win over an always classy Ryan Villopoto.

Kai Aiello made his 2nd start to his pro career at FOX Raceway where his family and friends were on hand to support the local boy. Kai qualified into the fast 40 but during the 2nd qualifying session Kai jammed his foot in a rut and broke his big toe. Kai wasn’t going to let that stop his day and he went out for two 30 min plus two lap motos where he dug deep and rode his best to a 28-31 moto scores. Kai’s journey is too learn each lap of every race that he hits the track in his Rookie year. We are proud to support the local boy from Temecula, CA.

Alex Ray joined the KTM boys on his HEP Suzuki under the PNG truck for the weekend. We ran into him at the Over The Hump Mountain Bike Race where he let us know he was going to be racing National out of the back of his pick up so we offered up a spot so he could have a little more support.  This was A-Ray’s first National this year and he was a little uncomfortable to say the least. He admitted his outdoor prep wasn’t what he wanted coming into the weekend but to see the fan favorite out there mixing it up is always great because we know the outdoors are no joke.

We were so proud of our athletes for making us look good on the track, but our activation team was busy with the team at STACYC providing hydration and gels to the young riders at the STACYC youth straight rhythm. We are very proud to provide nutritional products to the youth and future of Motocross.
